How do I refresh my wallet?

If your wallet is out of sync you may have issues with sending, swapping, or seeing the correct balance. Learn how to refresh your wallet.

Did you send crypto to your wallet, but it's not showing in your balance? Is your Bitcoin balance displaying incorrectly? Do you get an error when you're trying to send or swap crypto?

If so, your wallet may be out of sync with the blockchain. A quick wallet refresh tends to fix several balance-related problems.

How do I refresh Exodus Mobile?

How do I quick-refresh an asset?

A quick-refresh is designed to scan an asset's blockchain to ensure your balance is up to date.

  1. In Exodus Mobile, a) tap the Wallet icon, then b) select an asset to refresh. If an asset is enabled on multiple networks, c) a network menu will expand. Select the correct network.

  2. a) Press and hold your fingertip on the asset screen, then b) drag it downwards until the page shifts down.

  3. When the refresh begins, you will see the Exodus logo load at the top of the page. Once the loading icon disappears, the refresh is complete.

If this does not resolve your balance issues, then please proceed to refresh the network.


How do I refresh the network for a specific asset?

If a quick-refresh doesn't resolve things, you may want to do a full network refresh in Exodus Mobile, which scans the blockchain for your entire transaction history.

  1. In Exodus Mobile, a) tap the Wallet icon, and b) select the asset you want to refresh. If an asset is enabled on multiple networks, c) a menu will expand, and you can select the network.

  2. a) Press on the asset's logo for 2-3 seconds. A message will appear asking if you want to refresh the selected asset. b) Tap Refresh.

  3. After refreshing the asset, you will see a prompt. Tap OK. The asset has now been refreshed!


How do I refresh all networks?

Here is how you can refresh all the asset networks in Exodus Mobile from the Settings menu.

  1. a) Tap on the Profile icon, then b) tap Settings.

  2. Scroll down and tap Refresh Blockchain Networks.

  3. Tap Refresh. Your mobile wallet will restart and refresh all networks, and then all your assets will be back in sync!


How do I refresh Exodus Desktop?

  1. Open the crypto wallet you would like to refresh by a) clicking the Portfolio icon and b) selecting the asset from the list below.

  2. If the asset has multiple networks enabled, click the dropdown menu to select the network to refresh.

  3. Click the asset's logo.

  4. A dialogue will ask Refresh Blockchain? Click Rescan. When the asset's icon is finished spinning, your transactions will be updated and your wallet will be back in sync with the blockchain!


How do I refresh from the asset menu?

  1. Open the crypto wallet you would like to refresh by a) clicking the Portfolio icon and b) selecting the asset from the list below.

  2. If the asset is supported on multiple networks, click the dropdown menu and select the network to refresh.

  3. a) Click on the More icon in the top right-hand corner to open the menu, and b) click Refresh Blockchain.

  4. A dialogue will ask Refresh Blockchain? Click Rescan. When the asset's icon is finished spinning, your transactions will be updated and your wallet will be back in sync with the blockchain!


How do I refresh Exodus Web3 Wallet?

If you have issues with your Exodus Web3 Wallet and the balances are not updating, please try the following troubleshooting steps to refresh your wallet:

  • Ensure you are on the latest version of Web3 Wallet: How do I update Exodus?

  • Close and reopen your browser.

  • Relaunch the wallet by disabling and reenabling the Web3 Wallet browser extension: Open your browser, a) click the Extensions icon, then b) click Manage Extensions. c) Toggle it off and on again.

  • If you still experience issues, try restarting your device.
