Mobile

If you forgot your password, Exodus Mobile has no permanent passcode lockout. However, after 4 failed attempts, a temporary 2-minute lockout is triggered. Once the lockout period ends, you have another 4 attempts before the next 2-minute lockout. This cycle can be repeated indefinitely.

However, if you forgot your passcode and cannot use Touch ID or Face ID to unlock Exodus Mobile, you can use your 12-word secret key to regain access to your wallet. Here is how:

  1. On the lock screen in Exodus Mobile, enter an incorrect passcode 2 times.

  2. Tap Forgot your passcode?

  3. Tap Restore Wallet.

  4. Enter the secret key that you wrote down on a piece of paper during the backup process. Enter your first 4 words and tap Next. Continue until all 12 words have been entered, and tap Restore.

When entering the secret key, make sure you're entering the words:

    • In sequence from 1 to 12, without the numbers

    • In all lowercase letters

    • Spelled correctly

Please be very careful with your 12-word secret key and private keys, because they control access to your funds. Never share them with anyone, and only import them into platforms that you trust 100%. If you choose to import your secret key or private keys into a third-party platform, you do so at your own risk. 5. Exodus will restart and begin to sync your assets. Depending on your wallet history, this may take a few minutes. If you have a diverse portfolio with a long transaction history, it may take longer.

Once the restore is complete, tap Continue.
